Open Access articles

Our authors will have the option to choose how their article is published.

1. Traditional publishing model. Published articles are available to institutions and individuals who subscribe to the journal or pay for access to individual articles. Authors are not charged for publication.

2. Open Access (OA) model. OA articles published are available online to anyone with an Internet connection, permanently and without any restrictions. For such articles, their unlimited use is allowed (including partial use in derivative works), as well as distribution and reproduction in any medium, provided that the author of the work and the source of the publication are correctly referenced. You can learn more about the paid service of publishing OA articles in Open Access format on the page of our publisher.

Russian Academy of Sciences, within the framework of the state contract with the publisher, annually provides RAS journals with the opportunity to publish a certain number of articles in the Open Access format without any payment from the authors. The decision on OA publications is made by the Russian Academy of Sciences, taking into account the recommendations of the Editorial Boards of journals. The Editorial Board of the Bulletin of the Russian Academy of Sciences: Physics, according to the editorial policy of the journal, includes in the list of articles recommended for OA publication the articles by members of the Russian Academy of Sciences (Academicians, Corresponding members, Foreign members and Professors of the Russian Academy of Sciences), thematic reviews and original articles based on the results of research carried out by international collaborations, as well as articles by authors previously awarded the “Editor’s Choice” status.
